Relief for the Race Information Management Headache
As a race organizer you know, one of the greatest problems race organizers face is managing the information needs of large events. Milliseconds Sports Timing can help in this area. Milliseconds provides data entry and timing services for races of all sizes. For the past ten years Milliseconds has been developing and perfecting a software system that allows us to quickly register participants and time races. We have integrated state of the art radio frequency transponder chip technology (often referred to as chip timing) into our software.
Here are some of the features and benefits of the Milliseconds Pro and transponder technology combination:
-
Using transponder chip technology, we immediately know which competitor has crossed the finish line as well as their finish time. This gives us the ability to post results at almost anytime during the race.
-
The transponder system can collect start times, interval times and finish times. Using the start time we can provide the runners with not only official times, but also net run times. This is especially beneficial in large races where it may take a long time just to cross the start line.
-
Since the finish order is collected by the transponder timing system, the need for multiple finish chutes is eliminated. This allows the runners to quickly move out of the finish area and start recovering.
-
It also reduces the number of volunteers required to manage the finish area.
-
The US Track and Field Association approved the transponder system, so you know the times are accurate.
-
Because the times feed directly into our software, we can present each runner with his or her unofficial time, class place and over all place as they leave the finish area. So your participants have immediate feedback about their performance. (Restrictions apply for this service; contact us to see if we can provide this service for your race.)
-
Since we have created our own data entry software, we can easily make modifications to better support your information needs. This means we can collect and present the information you need to put on a better race next year.
